Don’t Worry! 😊🙏🏼

January 19, 2021

I remember when I was a young private away from home, on the cold base of Fort Jackson, South Carolina. This particular early morning there was frost on the grass and misty dew in the air. The smell of farmland, cow manure, and old gun smoke filled the dry barracks.

As I sat to read a letter from my brother, there was a scripture written in his fancy cursive writing. It read “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 4:6-7

Being the young lad I was at the time, I folded the letter up, put it back in my desk drawer and kept it tucked away for rainy days, literally. At that time I didn’t know God like I know God now. I knew of Jesus, but I didn’t have a “relationship” with Him just yet. The scripture was vaguely familiar, but it didn’t have a “real” impact on me in the moment. The real impact in that moment honestly was receiving a letter from my older brother who was away at college! 💯 The fact that he took time to write his then baby sister who was an afraid young private serving her country away from home was just enough for me.

HOWEVER, you can believe every time I got in a crunch, had to present, or take a test, Spirit took me back to the scripture my brother had engraved on my mind and heart. It wasn’t until much later in life that I began to truly understand the magnitude of this scripture. I’m now certain that it’s one of the scriptures my family sent me that got me through basic training, advanced training, and my subsequent military career. It wasn’t until I developed my own unique relationship with God that I truly began to understand when it meant to “not be anxious” and to “enter EVERYTHING with prayer and supplication.”

And this is what I want to encourage you to do today. Not so much charge you with reading the Bible, although I do encourage it because there are lots of life lessons there. But I want to encourage you to pontificate on, and apply this scripture for yourself. Whether you consider yourself a Christian or not. There’s a life lesson here for all of us.

✅ First, try not to “be anxious.” Anxiety (experiencing worry, unease, or nervousness, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome) is a low vibrating emotion. It’s an emotion that can take over your mind and being if you allow it to.

✅ Second, be encouraged to not be anxious about ANYTHING. Like NO-THING. Anxiety and worry can cause unnecessary sickness, both mentality and physically. Moving in a situation with anxiety sends the wrong vibrational frequency towards a situation. Subsequently it can turn a potentially positive situation into a not so good situation. And that’s ANY situation . It doesn’t matter if it’s your job, your children, your parents, your spouse, or your health. Any and everything should be approached with concentration, calmness, and clarity. Doing so allows us to clearly “present our request (desired outcome)” to God knowing God has our best interest at heart.

✅ Third be “at peace” with the outcome. Whatever that may be. There is NEVER a negative outcome. Ever. Ponder for a moment. Never? Never. Why? Because God is always, always, always in control. And if God is orchestrating our life, then whatever the outcome, it’s Gods Will. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Therefore, it stands to reason there is absolutely no reason to be anxious about anything going on in our lives.

💡💡 Understanding the impact of “not being anxious about anything” actually #shifts our #vibration from a place of #worry to state of #gratitude. #catchit #thatsthemiracle

When we shift our perspective TO gratitude and consequently AWAY from anxiety and worry we enter into situations with more clarity, ease, and positivity. When we say “Thank You” no matter the outcome, IN ADVANCE of the occurrence of the situation, that puts and keeps us in alignment with Gods Will for our life. We are saying,

“God, regardless of the outcome, thank you.”

🌟🌟 This allows us to move with ease knowing there is no need to worry or be anxious.

🌟🌟 There’s no situation that’s worth worry or anxiety.

🌟🌟 Gratitude is what shifts our complete perspective of the situation.

Now of course there was no way this 18 year old could have pontificated this back then. It took experience, developing a personal relationship with God, and repeated failures AND success to learn, grow, and understand.

❤️❤️ Be encouraged today to know: it doesn’t matter if you are 18 or 80, are just starting over (anew) or are years into your craft, there’s no reason for you to be anxious or nervous about it. Not about one thing. There’s no need to even be anxious about the current political, economical, or social environments I encourage you to enter each of these constructs every day with “prayer and supplication (humble petition)” knowing that “EVERYTHING is working for our good.

❤️❤️ Phillipians 4:6-7 got me through basic and advanced training. My prayer is for this scripture to get you through today. And the next. And the next. And the next... Taking one day at a time, remembering “this too is passing” and “Gods Will is being done.”

NO matter what it looks like...

May this bring you “peace that surpasses all understanding.”

I Love ❤️ You. God Loves ❤️ You.

Be Well. ~Dr. Elijah🤗💯
